For want of lower-level pages, bottom-up structuring can be facilitated by using temporary empty pages or a sandbox.

Wiki Structure

Maybe we should add the 'other' (content-based, e-Gov themes) structure on this page - maybe with an 'easy navigation' table linking to these categories? --Ijsbrand 17:44, 23 October 2006 (CEST)

Main page layout

Table/layout improvements are always appreciated - however, please be mindful of the fact that this is (still) the 'showcase' entry point for all TRIAS partners, i.e. tidiness is appreciated too! Cheers--Ijsbrand 12:44, 23 November 2006 (CET)

Changes to the Main page

  • Which navigation bar do we choose at the top of the page? And do we show it on every page, or on every portal?
  • The introduction should be changes into a paragraph about: where am I and what can I do here?
  • An image should be added, preferebly the new schedule of categories with clickable links, but we shouldn't invest to much time in this now. On the other hand, we shouldn't chage this page to much after the wiki is 'opened'.
  • The section of subportals can be removed here, but that means that it is removed on every portal page! We could move this block to the bottom, where it can display the x number of current pages with a dynamic list.
  • Maybe the construction of the template can be changed so that the length of the block on the left side doesn't infloence tht length of the block on the right side. But this is also a timeconsuming task, I think.
  • This page is the starting point for all users, so it should link to all functions and sections. The blocks should be self-supported, this means that the content remains the same or is changed by a dynamic list.
  • Suggested blocks with sections:
    • Case study portal
    • Education portal
    • Encyclopedia portal
  • Suggested blocks with functions:
    • Users
    • Support portal
    • Start new page
  • If we make the category pages redundant, we should make the category tree stand out, because the sub-categories are less obvious.
