In Britain two new internet payment systems were introduced. With these payment systems, POLi and eWise, people do not have to submit any creditcard details when making a transaction on the internet. These new systems simply connect you with the webpage of own bank, which means that you can use the online banking service of your bank to pay online. But there are question to the safety of these new systems. Do they really provide safety or is it false sense of security.

The OV-chipcard and the new (chipcard)passport are examples of passes which contain personal, confidential information about people. Especially a passport. It is now found out that these chips are not as safe as they should be. These chips can not secure digital data privacy.

Censorship in the People's Republic of China

The Chinese government tries to protect its Political Security and the stability in China by censoring certain Western websites and websites which give criticism on sensitive issues for China like Tibet or Taiwan. China uses measures that are designed for the protection of for example digital data. Though China uses these measures for the protection of its own Political Security. The term 'Great Firewall of China' refers to the digital measures that China has taken to censor the internet and other digital sources.
