E-voting is the electoral process used in eDemocracy where by election is done online through voting electronically. Opinion pools are also form of E-voting.

e-Vote is method which provide voters access to vote electronically. e-Vote system is widely believed to be used in USA than any other country,close to it is EU. Its usage involves electronic recording and optical scanner. Normally, electronics votes of different voters from different constituencies are stored digitally in a storage medium such as a diskette, tape cartridge, or smart card before being sent to a centralized location where tabulation programs compile and tabulate results. Many proponents of e-Vote canvassed that it reduces the cost of running election and makes participation easy.
